September Photo Dump

We've had so many guests and extra super fun events in September that our every day life that I usually blog about is in the form of a photo dump :) The rest of our September adventures will be posted soon! It's been a great month with so many special people, places and things. In the meantime...
 It looks like we might have a snaggletooth on our hands this Christmas wishing for her two front teeth!  She made lots of money and was bribed with many treats to get this tooth out that has been dangling for weeks! She only trusted mommy to do it so lucky me...I had the honors :) Isn't she adorable?

Baby cakes in his favorite spot just hanging out with mom...
 Luca started little man jam dance class at the same time as sissy's ballet! He LOVES it!!! At first it was all about the noisy tap shoes for him but dude's got some rhythm!
 Just a swinging away! I have to document that he loves this and is so so so happy for a total of 2 minutes before he wants to be held again haha. Such a lover boy :)

 Miss thang working so hard ride the unicycle! She's so very close!
 Aren't they just precious? They just love each other so much. We've had company for most of September so they've had many slumber party nights cuddled up in the same bed.

 Entertaining boys at the park while watching girlfriend play soccer :)

 {my love}
 Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby.
Especially one who has been very sick and is resting well for the first time in 2 weeks :)

Soccer season has started and you still have mad soccer skills...
You have incredible footwork for a 6 year old...

But we've seen a new "development" during your soccer games. For example, here you are...
You are such a super talented multi-tasker that you can play soccer (and play it well) all while doing cartwheels, dancing, chasing butterflies, and pretending to be in a movie!
 I'm not even kidding...the coach put you in and you said, "hey mom! Watch I'm gonna score a goal!" Sure enough, you put your mind to matter, scored that goal and said, "check!" and then you ended the scene and went to pretend to be the coach. You're pretty fabulous Ella.
 Everyone in our house has been sick this month...and I knew Luca was next when he laid down in front of my feet the entire game when usually I can't keep up with his whereabouts!
dun. dun. dun..another one bites the dust!

back to the wedding...I found some more pictures!
 These are 2 of my favorite people on the planet! My daughter and my Uncle Jeff. When I look at this picture it reminds me of when I was the little girl in his arms!
 mama and milo
 I have the sweetest story. Ella went to her first birthday/slumber party. She called me twice early evening. The first time I could tell that she wanted to make sure she could reach me. Both times she asked about Luca and what he was doing, how he was doing, where he was...
Luca asked about Ella all night too. When it came time to go to bed, he cried because he missed her :-( He wanted to call her to tell her goodnight! I asked what I could do to make him happy and he said, watch a Paw Patrol on the big tv and "sweep wis you". I just thought it was the sweetest thing! So what did I do? I turned on a Paw Patrol and let him stay up past his bed time and then I kicked Daddy to the couch and tucked this little guy into my bed!

 And just for the record...Ella called one more time to try to reach Luca but he was lost in sweet dreams just like this...
 And my obsession with baby feet continues into his 4th year ;)
 baby boo face giving his doctor hoopla...he didn't like his pediatrician looking at him let alone touching him! Milo has been a super healthy baby so the good news is that Dr. Hall falls into the "stranger danger" category according to Milo :)

Pip Squeak- 9 month update

9 Month Stats
weight: 19 lbs 14 oz {50th percentile}
length: 28 inches {30th percentile}
head circumference: 47 cent. {off the charts!}

You started out strong boo boo but you may just turn out to be a little pip squeak! Daddy and I have noticed how you were looking so big and all the sudden started to looking a little petite as your months got bigger and your body got smaller. Somehow, 3 months has passed and you've lost a pound. Maybe those tiny little feet of yours should have been a sign. True to Reading baby form, your head is as wide as your shoulders and it is so funny...and adorable of course ;)
You are wearing 6-12 month clothes. You wear a size 2 or 0-6 month shoe. Your feet are so tiny and I loooooooove tiny baby feet. You're in a size 3 diaper. At 9 months old you have developed a sense of stranger danger. Apart from that, you suffer from a bit of separation anxiety :-( Depending on what mood you're in, you sometimes don't even tolerate looks from people (like the doctor) when you can tell they want to look you over apart from my arms.
You've been very sick this month so we've seen the doctor A LOT. You have had your first round of the "dreaded man cold" and if you are awake, you demand to be held. Mama has been sooooo tired (because daddy and luca are also suffering from this most dramatic horrible illness).

With this separation anxiety, it's hard really hard for you to leave mama and you don't really like it when I even leave the room...strongly prefer that I'm in the same room as you. All the time. It's ok though because we are gonna work it out! You love me or Daddy near by most of the time. You love to snuggle and be held. I don't think you'll be my most independent child. You are obsessed with Ella and Luca. You call all of our names from the crib or when you are in the church nursery. You are very shy! It's so sweet. We've introduced the word "no" and it breaks your heart haha. You are just as sweet as pie and we are all pretty obsessed with you boo!

 I didn't get the pic, but Luca leaned over to hug you. You put your little arm up to hug back and then just rubbed your face in his cheek. And then I melted :)

You are pulling up on things and getting very adventurous transferring from the coffee table to couch while standing up and walking along the couch. I swear you went from not rolling over to rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling up and scaling furniture in just a little over a month. Daaaaaada! It is your new favorite word and new favorite person! You have let dada into your circle of trust and it is just the cutest!

The seasons are shifting yet again and a brand new school year stands before us! I don't know about you but as a former teacher and mom of 3 I think of the year in terms of when school begins :) So here we are with so much ahead of us. We lived up our lazy summer days and are ready to take the world on again for another great year. This summer was amazing and filled me with so much excitement, joy and hope of what our life here will look like in the long term. The move to Seattle was such a scary experience that turned out to be a difficult adjustment. So much thankfulness and excitement combined with fear, loneliness and SHOCK. I had peace all along...but honestly I wasn't sure if I was going to make it! It was really good for me to repeat a season to see where I was last year and how far we've come in just 1 year. If that much change can take place in 1 year then I'm confident that with a little more time and experience here, I will not just call it home but I will feel completely at home in Seattle too. This summer was so good for my soul. I am so excited and joyful about what is to come. I'm not just surviving, but I am living. It's been an incredibly busy month so far getting ready for all this year will hold, but school has started and we are ready to take it on!
Milo is just getting so big and so fun.

Ella helping me get ready for a girls night out...she said she can't wait to come to girls nights with me when she's a grown up too. Me too Ella, me too!
super luca devouring birthday cupcakes...
boo face being all cute and stuff...

Luca at Little Feats open house! He is in pre-k this year and is so excited to be the big kid who gets to go upstairs to go to class :) This is Lori, "Mrs. L" and Luca was happy to see her because she goes to our church and she teaches his class! How fun!
However, meeting Ms. Wendy wasn't as "comfortable" haha. This is actually his designated teacher for his group and he wasn't so sure about her from the beginning :) This is the best I could get. Such an honest moment...so cute!
On the first day he walked up to his class room door. He looked in and said, "mama, can you just tell me where to go?" And without looking back he just walked right in so big and brave. I had to tackle him to hug me before he went all the way in his room :)

Ella started first grade this year! She got in a class with her little friends and is off to a great start! Her teacher's name is Ms. Smart. Ella is very concerned about the amount of rules in first grade :) I assured her she's a good girl and she could handle it and that it would help her have a great year! On the first day, she wanted to wear her purple glasses to establish her fashion trend early because "some people were confused when I just started wearing fashion glasses in the middle of kindergarten." That girl :) On the first day, I could tell she felt confident and comfortable being in class with Abby, Maddie and Elena. She marched right in and waved for us to go! So happy!
Also, she wanted to wear her cat sweater because she likes cats :) She says she's going to have a lot of them when she has her own house since Daddy and I are allergic haha. Crazy cat lady in the making right here... (she meowed for the camera)

First playdate of the school year. They were SO SO excited to pick up right where they left off. I'm so happy they got in the same class again. I have a picture just like this from last year!

I mean does it get any cuter than this? Red cowboy boots to jazz up her "boy color" navy spirit shirt. Here we are at the end of a great first week and getting her ready to attend her first sleepover birthday slumber party! Wish her me luck haha!
so proud of this girl...
Mr. Man has been super cranky this week...
handsome, yes...
but cranky.
And as it turns out, he ended up sick :-( Not sure what's going on yet, but hoping it doesn't last long. This is his first fever/illness other than a seasonal cold. He handles it about like his Daddy...and really most men for that matter :)
