3 months

My little bippy is 3 months old today! In a way I can't believe it but in another way I really can. This month has been tricky to say the least! I've been cherishing every moment but at the same time holding out for the 3rd month because I know we will have survived that "fourth trimester". Adjusting to life outside the womb is a lot to take in for a wittle baby and when you add in reflux and an immature digestive system, well, we all end up in tears :) He's just the sweetest little guy but he hasn't felt very good this month.

Milo is super duper attached to mama. Perhaps because I haven't put him down since he's been born? No shame! No regrets. I love spending every moment with him because I know these moments are fleeting. I know nursing has a lot to do with it too. But good news guys! He's starting to take to his Daddy now =D Here's a little bonding play time in Daddy's office!
We've still been working on the reflux situation and getting the right meds worked out for him. We had a good eating/sleeping routine established and then colic struck. Then we worked it back out again and then reflux struck! Then we got good meds that worked great only to wear off a week later. He won't sleep, it's hard to eat and don't even think about giving him a bottle. We went back to the doc for some new meds and I think we are FINALLY on the mend. Milo has needed a lot of extra comfort. He's been too uncomfortable to sleep peacefully on his own. So napping has looked a little something like this...
I don't mind the snuggles but I'm so glad he's starting to feel better and we are looking forward to quieter days and sleepier nights :0) and maybe JUST MAYBE sneaking in a bottle or two every now and then so Mommy can sneak away! We'll see.
Foxy baby on a walk with Mommy and Daddy. The big kids were at school. I love these moments when Mike and I can enjoy our baby together...just the two of us. That doesn't happen as much as it did with the other two! Third child problems :)
 Looking back...
1 month
 2 months...
3 months!
 He's some kind of wonderful.

Growing Babies

Well February has come and gone and was definitely packed with lots of fun! I've spent my days watching all of my babies grow right before my eyes. It looked a little something like this...

Naughty little boy who had pushed the limits on this day crashed out in the rocker lost in sweet peaceful dreams. He's so precious that it makes his shenanigans all ok :)
Ella Bella had her FIRST sleepover away from home! I kept expecting a call in the middle of the night but never got one! She's so brave :)
This little chunker has stolen my heart. I smell him, kiss him, squeeze him (gently haha) all. day. long. Just can't get enough of him.
My hunky hubby turned 31...he really is the greatest. And what does every grown man want for his birthday? Laser tag guns of course :)
I got E's enrollment papers in the mail for school next year. I just really thought she'd be in kindergarten forever! Just like Milo will be a baby forever right? Nope! FIRST GRADE HERE SHE COMES!!! Wow. I remember teaching first grade when I was pregnant with her and thinking it was so weird that one day the tiny baby in my belly would be a little kid like the ones I spent every day with!
Milo made his first baby friend...Simon and Milo! Aren't they cute?
I'm watching this brotherly bond grow day by day and it's just beautiful. Luca is already asking when Milo can "sweep wis him" :-) I just replaced Luca's bedroom furniture this week and bought 2 twin beds for them to share a room!
I hope your February was sweet too!

February Fun

Other than Valentine's Day celebrations, we have just been recovering from colds, surviving Milo's colic/reflux, fixing up our laundry room and hanging on for dear life! The past couple of weeks have been hard but I think we are on the upswing. We got to face time with these fine friends! It's always good to see their faces and I love how we pick up right where we left off! We miss them so :-(
We've had some rough nights with this little guy but mama made a special valentine day trip to the doctor's office and he FINALLY got to see what I've been telling him! Reflux. Boo. He's sleeping so much more and is so much more comfortable after just two days on meds. I felt so bad for him.
I mean, isn't she a natural?!?! Little mama :)
1, 2, 3!

Luca waiting patiently outside Ella's room waiting for her to say he could come back in and play. She needed some alone time after playing together all morning :) He just loves her so much. Every now and then he'd yell out, "Ewwa, I wove you!"

Milo's sweet sleepy face :)
Ella got to to a friends dance studio for bring a friend to dance day! We loved it so much we switched!
Mr. Milo hanging out with mommy on a Friday afternoon! Ella was at school and Luca was at the movie theater with daddy so it was just me and my baby dude :)

I love this sweet face.

The Lego Movie!

Me and my boys!
Milo will lay just about anywhere if he can look at himself in the mirror. Mike's siblings always made fun of him for checking himself out in the mirror as a teenager when he walked by so I joke that Milo gets it from his Daddy ;)

Ella had a couple of play dates at the house last week. They were so cute running home so excited.
I knew they were making a haunted house and they wanted to surprise me so I stayed upstairs while they got it together. In the meantime, they prepped the haunted house AND colored themselves like zombies! Imagine my surprise...I was truly freaking out inside but they were so proud! I made a quick trip through the haunted house and quickly hauled the little girls upstairs to scrub it off before their mamas came!!!
Everyone has been passing the cold around the house. Poor Luca seems to be getting it worse than everyone else. He came to Milo's nursery with this wad and said, "mama I got a booger, is this too much toilet paper?"
Here are some pictures that were sent to us by Luca's friend Oliver! Luca is getting to the age now where he gets invited to birthday parties and "big kid" things like his sister and he gets super excited :)

 Milo's first carousel ride!

The best part of the party was watching a bunch of 3 year old boys trying to participate in an organized activity...it was by far the most competitive game of  hot potato I've ever seen :) There was no sharing or abiding by rules (see Luca getting upset and going to take it out of someone's hand haha).

Love

Here are my Valentine cuties! Both of them were full of it this morning can't you tell?
Sorry I can't resist all of these pictures of this little cutie pie...

 such a sweetheart <3 p="">

My mom is like the coolest mom ever and starting on February 1st, she treated us all to 14 days of love! Every day a special treat, snack or craft would come in the mail. It was so fun opening up every day to all things lovely and valentine! Thanks to her we've had a super festive February. It's been a tad crazy at our house so I didn't get many pics, but I got a few...

Whack a packs...these are THE coolest things EVER. There is a small package that looks like a valentine. You put it on the floor and hit it and a balloon blows up and pops out! I had a hard time letting the kids do their own haha.
We spent Valentines Day at home together. We had Valentine treats in the morning, Ella's Valentine party at school, more sent to us in the mail, and then an evening of heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys and a movie!
 Somebody's peeking!

We had glow stick valentines this year <3 div="">
On Saturday, we had a sitter for the big kids and Mike and I went on a Valentine date with our little tag along Milo. This was the ONLY picture we got! I was adoring my little sweetie :) We went to a nice late lunch and then stopped around at some of the local shops we've driven by but haven't had time to go to. We hit up some home consignment/antique shops and got some crafty ideas! We were laughing about how "easy" it was to "just have a newborn" out and about for the day. It's by no means easy but it's such a lighter (and quieter) load than we are used to!
