Arkansas Part 2

While Ella was at Mimi camp, Luca was promoted from rider to driver of Papa's "train" :)

I got to go eat with my brother and sister in law...without our kiddos! It was almost like old times except we were missing Mike :-(
It's so hard to be Luca...
After Mimi camp, Luca and I spent some time in Van Buren before it was time to go home. Mimi and babies making cookies...
Before we flew home we celebrated Luca Bo's 3rd birthday! He had a pirate p'arrrrty this year :D More on the pirate adventures in a later post!
We are excited to get home and be with Daddy. We are also sad to leave what still feels like home to me and probably always will...Arkansas. Ella cried the entire first flight. I do think it is two fold...part sadness and part drama :) here are my sweeties snuggling in the airport. The day was long and tough. We had to rally together to get through it!
Ella made it on our last flight before crashing but baby boy couldn't hang. I ended up carrying him through terminals trying to make flights! He was comatose. Ella had to carry all the bags because it was all I could do (and probably more than I should have done) carrying him and my belly. Ella said, don't worry mom I'm happy to help! She's been a bit of a diva lately so I'm so glad my sweet girl rose to the occasion. :) us girls have gotta stick together!
We had such a great trip with good time with friends and family so we really couldn't have asked for more. Now to enjoy the last month of summer break before our baby girl starts kindergarten!!!

Summer in the South

We are having a blast soaking in some much needed family time in Arkansas. I have enjoyed spending time with everyone and just getting to relax. The kids love riding Papa Bo's "train", watching the bunnies and riding through the big big hole :)

Swimming with the cousins and Aunt Tesha!
This little man right here is a party animal. And by party animal, I mean little old man who wants to go home every time we leave the house :) he's quite the homebody!
Eating dinner at Granny and Grandpa's for mom and dads birthday. It was the first time I've had Granny's cooking in years and it tasted like home! Cousin Morgan and Josh entertained the little ones the whole time!
The girls...
Aunt DeLynn and Luca playing get the passie :)
Sunday morning church!
My Ella and my Granny :)
We are also enjoying the little southern summer storms. Ella left for Mimi Camp so it's just Luca and I for a few days. Yesterday we sat in the back yard and watched the skies turn dark, listened to the thunder roll in and ate apples on the back porch.
That day we went to dinner with more cousins! Kimberly and I took our little ones (minus Ella) to lunch. We wanted to go to the park but settled for the playroom instead since it was raining! It was so nice picking up where we left off...as always. It's so cool growing up together and now seeing our little ones together. The Circle of Life theme song is playing in my head right now haha.
Luca and Kennedy...
That's all for now y'all!

Christmas in July

We had our annual Christmas in July with Nana B! It was a reindeer theme this year. We listened to christmas music all day, make crafts, watched Elf and made Christmas breakfast and lunch! It's so fun to spend a whole day in Christmas cheer working on things that we often get too busy to enjoy :)

Reindeer breakfast...
Homemade ornaments!
Jingle Bell Rock...

Reindeer cookie baking...

Movie watching...
Christmas tree crafty snack...
May your days merry and bright!

Thomas the Train

Yesterday we ventured up to Snoqualmie to spend the day with Thomas the Train! Luca has branched out from Ella's barbies and princess dolls to find out what he loves, and that is trains! He's so in to Thomas these days and we knew he'd love this! There is a couple in our church that go every year so we went as families this year and had a blast!

I love the look of wonder and anticipation on this face as he sees Thomas approaching around the bend...
 Thomas! He's real!
 Aiden, Luca and Ella
 Riding the speeder car!

 Meeting Thomas...

Then it was time to hop on board and ride Thomas!
All Aboard!

When the train started to move...
Playing on the train tables. This is the exact one we got for Luca for his birthday and he thought this was his haha.

Playing on old engines and cars...
Luca said, "chugga chugga choo choo!"
Lunch time with the Thomas band! When one of the band members asked the kids if they knew what bears ate, Ella answered, "little kids!"We later saw her in the bathroom after the Thomas event when we went to see Snoqualmie Falls and she remembered Ella and said she was the funniest part of her day!
I think this means, "stop taking my picture mom"
Ella and Daddy dancing with the band after lunch...
Meeting Sir Topham Hat! Ella was excited...
 Luca was not...

My little conductor showing off his tattoos and stamps...

Ella chose Rosie, the pink train of course :)

 shopping at the gift shop!
 trains!
Ella and Aidan in matching Thomas hats!

 Ella enjoying the puppet show...
Since we were in the area, we stopped by Snoqualmie Falls. It was absolutely beautiful. In Texas we had duck crossings. In Washington we have dear crossings haha...
Snoqualmie Falls. Majestic. Hard to believe this exists just about 45 minutes from the city.

July has been fun!
Tomorrow, the kiddies and I are off to Arkansas to spend a couple of weeks with the family!
