Thankful

As you can see from the 8,000 pics I took of our Thanksgiving visit, I have so many things to be thankful for. One of the things I am most thankful for is my family. I LOVE my family...each and every one of them :) Each one of them is special to me in many ways. They each have played a very important role in who I am today. I'm lucky to have a family like this. Family is everything to me. My in-laws included...they are amazing people! Luca got to meet many of his family members for the first time. He also got to see many of his family members that haven't seen him since he was a wee little newborn just a few short months ago! Enjoy...

We started off the trip at Nana B and Papa Bo's! I was sad when I got home because I realized that I didn't get very many pictures of my family :( I took a bigillion pictures, but I didn't capture all of my lovely family members! I only got a couple. It's a little crazier chasing around 2 kids. Anyhow, I did get to see ALL of them and spend some special time!

We lost Ella momentarily at my family function...this is where we found her :)

Luca's partner in crime...cousin Conner!

Sweet Autumn

We love Autumn. We are enjoying the cool brisk air and the induced laziness that comes with the shorter days. As you look through this post, please know that I do not have a favorite child...it's just that Ella either runs or glares at me when I try to take her picture these days so I just happen to have more pics of the dude :) Here he is in all his sweetness!
Pucker up ladies ;)
Yes, we are working diligently on our rubber band wrists. Every baby should have them!
My two favorite men...
This is the glare I was talking about earlier :)
We've been doing A LOT of this...
Luca at school for one of his on site nursing sessions haha :)
I'm off the entire week for Thanksgiving...glorious! It is one of the many perks of being a teacher. It is also one of those things that is absolutely necessary to make it through the year! Soooo...we have been running Christmas errands, decking the halls, running wedding errands for my BFFs wedding NEXT WEEK, and today we decided that we were for sure going to go home for Thanksgiving so we have been furiously cleaning, laundering, and packing. I couldn't be more thrilled to see my family this year on Thanksgiving. At first we didn't think we were going to be able to, but then we decided that it's was an absolute must! Whatever it takes to get there is worth it. I've never missed a family Thanksgiving before...and this is not the year to miss.

Sorry I got side tracked...don't you think he needs this hat? In the words of Chandler Bing (for all the Friends fans out there)..."could he BE any cuter?"

And here are a few more fall pics from back in October.
I love this girl.
These babies are MY WORLD!
my witchy woman on her very own broomstick...she's so creative ;)
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Remember all you have to be thankful for this season!

Baby Love-3 Months

You are 3 months old! You are trying so hard to laugh. For now it sounds like a raspy little grunt and it is oh so cute...just like you :) You recently had a double ear infection which makes ear infection #2 and #3 for you. We are also still working on your tummy issues. Your little intestinal track is just not quite mature enough yet but we are working through it. We just can't get enough of you! I love that you look like me. You have discovered your feet. You can't grab them yet but you stare at them and wiggle your toes as you watch in amazement at what you can do! We are just as proud as you are! I love to watch you observe the big wide world around you. I can't wait to know what you are thinking and what you will love. You are sweet, pouty, CuDdLy, squishy, and soft. But most of all...
You are perfect.
A little pouty...
But absolutely perfect.
I love you.
Your Daddy loves you.

Your sister loves you.
You are perfect.
Can I just say that I am more confident now more than ever that being a Mommy is THE hardest job in the world...but the most wonderful at the same time. Wonderful doesn't even describe the feeling. There are no words to describe what it means to be a mommy. As hard as it is, it brings more joy and happiness to my heart than anything else in the world. The job is demanding but my kids are who I am driven to work the hardest for. It's not even work...it's a passion. It makes me happy. They are my heart. They are my world. There are so many things no one ever prepares you for when you become a Mommy for the first time...shooting poo 3 ft over the changing table onto the wall, being shot with pee that puddles in your ear while changing diapers, wearing the same shirt with spit up on it for 3 days because you can't find time to change it, the fear that comes with the thought of ANYTHING ever happening to them. I mean, I panic when Ella skins her knee and when Luca sleeps too long. I may or may not have made a freak out crying scene when Ella tripped over her feet and bumped her head at the park. Being a Mommy can make you crazy!!! This is not my first time to be a Mommy...so I'm not sure these are things anyone could prepare you for if they tried because I've learned these things don't get any easier the second time around. But in the good, the bad, and the ugly, the hardest day at home is still one of the best days of my life. Each day comes with so much joy and when I look into their eyes, I melt. I am a fool for my babies. Something I have learned the second time around is to hold them closer and cherish every moment...the multiple late night feedings and even the sleepless nights...because it all goes by too fast! And here's one more picture...just because he's so darn cute :)

Boo!

We had such a fun and festive halloween weekend. Nana B was here to celebrate with us. We took our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch with a new little pumpkin to tag along with us! This is a tradition that was started with me as a child...we continued our tradition with Ella when she was just a few weeks old. I have lots of picks to show off so I've managed to keep it to a simple label of the first thing that comes to mind. Wonderful memories were definitely made!
