In due time...

we will be welcoming baby Reading #2!!!!! We are...
Ella has been waiting to share her big news!
She is going to be a big sister!

In August, our family of 3 will become 4 as we welcome this new baby into the world!
Don't you think it looks like Ella?!? Call us crazy but we totally see it!This was one active little baby! We may have our hands full! Baby was even sucking on his/her little hand already so we may have another thumb sucker on our hands :)

We have been preparing Ella for the new arrival. She loves babies so we are excited to see her with a little baby sibling of her own. Having Ella was so amazing. There are almost no words to describe what she means to our lives. Our lives and hearts were forever changed! She made us a little family! She is our first so when I was pregnant with her, I couldn't even wrap my mind around it. But now that we have her, we have a better idea about what this really means. So we feel so blessed and are so excited to do it all again! Right now, our little miracle is about the size of a peach :0)So here we are...the first trimester in review!

One month...

Two months...

Three months!

Daddyless :(

This weekend, Mike had to go to California for work so we were Daddyless :( But while the men are away...the girls will play!!! So, Nana B came over and we had ourselves a little girls weekend. I'm not going to lie...I'm still afraid of the dark and being alone in the house...apparently mommyhood doesn't cure you of that :0) So mom is always good about coming to keep me company when Mike's not here. She helped me with A LOT of household projects and when she wasn't helping me, she was answering Ella's every beckon call ;)
Sweet treats from Nana B!
This is Ella's new favorite thing...playing dress up! It is absolutely adorable. She spend the entire weekend, naps and all, in her dress up attire complete with her shoes, purse, and "princess hat". We are working on "tiara" :0)

We took a little trip to the mall and no mall trip is complete to Ella without a carousel ride!

Daddy got home today and went straight to work putting together Ella's new trampoline! We go this from a family member who was so sweet to think of Ella...she is going to LOVE it! She was quite the little helper.
This week officially kicks of what will probably be the busiest semester of life yet since we've moved to Texas. When it's over, it will be so worth it, but we've got lots of new things coming our way and Mike has taken on another job to boot! This is also his last semester at DTS! It's so cool to think of how far we've come and what all we've accomplished in the last few years since moving to Texas. We are hoping that as we wrap up this season of life over this next semester, we will remember to be thankful and to take time to enjoy it.

Our Little Artist...

Here is our little artist/fashionista hard at work on her easel! This is her new favorite past time...the girl loves to paint :0) And she looks good doing it! I think it is the rainboots :) Last week she painted 3 very special pictures that I will hold onto FOREVER! It was the first time she had actually named her picture or told us what she was drawing. So what would a 2 year old think to draw? A snowman, Nana B's house, and a little frog family (in her words: "Mommy fog, Daddy fog, and bebe fog") ;)
This weekend I went to Van Buren to host a wedding shower for my sister in law. Daddy and Ella had their first "daddy/daughter weekend" together. Somehow in all of the business of the shower, I didn't get one picture :( but I did get a picture with my little sweetie of a niece, Sophie! This is Sophie with her favorite Auntie Amber!

Finally a nervous grin :0)
Well, Mommy and Daddy miss him :) I think Ella loves Santa from a distance right now!

Lazy Dayz

As you can see from the neglect to my blog, we have been SUPER sleepy and lazy for the past couple of weeks. I think it is the post holiday and arctic cold weather effect! We have been like a little bear family hibernating for the winter :) I do have to say it has been quite nice but I plan on snapping out of it soon! We did manage to get out of the house to take Ella to see The Princess and the Frog! She loves movies and I love any excuse to watch kid movies so I'm seeing a lot of future girl's night movie dates with Ella! I love how she sits like a big girl with her legs crossed while she sucks her thumb ;) too cute!
We also spent some time babysitting little Lucy on Saturday so her Mommy and Daddy could have thier first date night since her arrival! We had so much fun and Ella was a champ. She kept track of the pacie (even when Lucy didn't want it), read her books, and showed her how to play.

When it was time for bed, she hugged Lucy and gave her a kiss. She'll be a great big sister one of these days :0)
