The girl's got some style!

Ella has her own little style goin on! It's quite simple actually...all she needs are a pair of boots (or "boos" as she calls them). Cowgirl boots, rain boots, snow boots...and a a bow which I don't mind at all! And last but not least, a bracelet. It's never to early to start accessorizing! Boots, bows, and bracelets, that's all there is to it!
Notice Broby's diaper...she's such a little mama already.

1A

Here are the pictures of my classroom this year! I am going on my 3rd year now and it has gone by super fast. Tomorrow will conclude the first week (thank goodness)...it's been a great start but I'm exhausted! The kids are wonderful and my team is fantastic so I am happy. But I do miss my Ella Bella :( It's come along way from my first year! My favorite thing is my fancy little rocking chair that my class bought for me my first year of teaching.

Little Garden Fairy

When I dressed Ella this morning in her delicate white smocked dress, her flowery head band, and her pixie pig tails, I thought she looked like a little garden fairy! All she needed were some sparkly wings...I LOVE having a little girl :0) It just doesn't get any sweeter.

Ella loves going to church in the morning. She gets excited about putting on pretty dresses and she also is digging the bow thing now...finally! She also loves to put on her pretty jewelry. Such a little lady! The hardest part about Sunday mornings are that she doesn't get to pick her bow and that sometimes causes a fit but all we have to do is take her to a mirror and oo and ahh over how pretty she is and she's all smiles again!

Ella and Broby had a long talk on the way to and from church this morning. Not sure what they were talking about but Broby must be pretty funny b/c Ella kept giggling at him like he was talking back. She is starting to converse with us as well! This morning she said uh oh momma broby so I knew that she dropped brobey. How nice was that...so much better than the screams!

Last but not least I leave you with "the look". She means business with these piercing looks.
Ok, one more...Ella's new dresser was delivered on Friday and I love it...the perfect touch. My favorite thing is that the panels can be traded out so they can all be one color, or a mixture, or just plain white which will be good for her to grow with. Pay no attention to the yucky brown curtains. They are a work in progress.

Summer Time Fun!

One of the last fun events we had scheduled this summer was swimming lessons with besties Marci and Kate! One of the most fabulous kindergarten teachers from Lakeside is also a fabulous swim instructor...she just has a gift with the kiddos. Anyway, we learned how to kick, now to crawl out of the pool, how to hold our breath under water, and started to learn how to float on our back. Here's my little fish!
baby swap :0)

my bathing beauty!

darling besties :)

And here are the rest of the zoo pics that I couldn't get uploaded on my last post. We took a zoo trip with Aunt DeeDee and cousin Kenzie. It was as hot as blazes!!! You would think we would have learned by now the appropriate timing to take on these activities in the Texas heat. It was so fun and totally worth it.

I love the way Ella is looking with wonder, caution, and curiosity at this stone gorilla.

playing in the river water park...

at the petting zoo...

here we were looking at a big clear tank that you could see fish swimming by in

at the duck pond or as ella likes to call them..."quack quacks"

I took the picture and then got out of the way...other than the birds (yuck), this was my least favorite part and it got worse when...

Kenzie squeezed the snake and it got a little hacked and started sniffing our babies...oh the nightmares!
We didn't get to see the elephants this time so we want to make a trip back in the fall after it has cooled off a bit. I leave you with a little video clip of our little cowgirl ;)

To be continued...

For some reason, blogger is really acting up and it took me about an hour just to upload these photos so I'll leave you with these two cuties and try to upload the rest of the pictures from swimming lessons and the zoo later on! This is Kenzie and Ella...cousins just 2 weeks apart!

This project is a part of the reason that I have been behind on my blogging lately. That and the twilight series that I am totally absorbed it :0) Anyway, I saw these for Ella's new big girl room and had to have them. Pottery Barn kids had them for $150 and this is their version...

and here is Ella's mommy's version for only $20!! It was a lot of work but I think it was worth the mula that is still in my pocket!
videoAnd here is a little video as a sneak preview to our zoo trip. It was as hot as blazes but we had an awesome time! Check back in the next couple of days and I'll add the rest of our zoo pics and from swimming lessons as well!
